Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•(This is a really stupid question) How do you know that you are not stuck in a time loop unable to wake up?
2·17 hours agoI don’t see how any utopia could make up for the universes where people are literally tortured their entire lives. Such a multiverse must not be allowed to exist.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Despite all the AI nonsense happening right now, I have a simple question. Do you feel valued? From one human to another.
1·19 hours agoThanks.
Another way to frame “do you feel valued” is “do others find you useful?” I can report with confidence that no landlord or capitalist finds me useful and I take pride in that.

2·19 hours agoMy answer has nothing to do with ai, but… no.
And that’s okay.
There are things worse than being invisible. Like being stuck with a bunch of crackheads, for example.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the most logical thing you are afraid of?
1·24 hours agoheart disease
Great, I have that procedure in a few days and wish i didn’t read this
That’s interesting. My problems started about 20 minutes after the procedure. I could not be even slightly vertical without the worst pain ever. I was in the hospital for a week before they finally did a blood patch and then I was able to go home the next morning.
My doctors may want to do another spinal tap in the future and I will happily tell them to fuck allllll the way off. :)

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you respond to "hey, how are you" when you feel like garbage?
3·2 days agoEven the nurses ask that in an office where a majority of patients have crippling, often painful disabilities. lmao. Can’t escape it. I just mentally replace it with “hi” in my head and respond “decent, thanks” (“hello”). Or if I’m really struggling, I leave off the thanks.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•For those of you with a living room or multiple rooms; do you have a TV in your bedroom? Why or why not?
4·3 days agoI don’t own a TV. I’d rather be on my computer approximately 100% of the time.

I was actually wondering the other day why we don’t have any AI cults yet. Good to see humans being predictable as always.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why passport holders from "third world" countries require visas for a majority of nations?
94·4 days agoThe whole concept of a ‘weak’ passport and a ‘strong’ passport is baffling.
Not on lemmy. I spent weeks blocking all the stupid bullshit and now it just infects communities that used to be good. Getting close to blocking this one too.

As a professional patient, trust me, I know. Short, pointless appointments are the bane of my existence. But I’m rural, and someone not taking patients can mean I have to travel a couple hours to the nearest big city. It’s a giant asspain all around

Absolutely. I hate unity and to a lesser extent godot because they struggle so hard on hardware they have no business struggling on.
