and do know I’ll bring RomM integration up with both teams again for you :P
Thank you so friggin’ much !!! The day it finally is released I’ll build all of you a freaking monument !

As always, wonderful write-up. Thank you and Gardiner!
So, yeah pretty much like distros: point release vs rolling release. Personally RetroDeck vibes with me a lot more than EmuDeck, everything they do emanates this “light side of the force” vibe.
And I’ll close with my classic: I’m patiently waiting for the day the fabled RetroDeck RomM integration is released to us mortals.

Games on Whales

Wait, what?
How can he be such a dick? I’ll take the link down.

I tried the demo when it came out. Great game, but I got turned off by the level design. There were lot of times when I got lost and didn’t know what to do or where to go. And not in a good way, like on Journey, Abzû or Sword of the Sea, you can get lost and get rewarded for exploring but getting back on track is intuitive.
Haste has better physics though.

Unpopular opinion / downvote magnet 🧲
I haven’t fully enjoyed Sonic’s transition to 3D. The 2.5D & on-rails parts do work, but I don’t think the free roaming sections are as good as other 3D games, and I don’t know if it’s the speed to blame or the auto-aim or what is it that just doesn’t click with me as much as the 2D games did.
I really wish I could have fun with the newer titles but I haven’t be able so far.

Codeberg for hosted, Forgejo for selfhosted.
They are great.

no paywall here:
Edit: looking for a mirror.
I thought it already had one… what did I use before? Was there a separate package?
Full installation. For the OS it’s just a drive.
I wouldn’t say old, but it’s a Thinkpad. I’m using Aurora Linux on a work laptop. In order to not void the warranty, I’m using an M2 NVME drive via a USBC caddy. It’s been rock solid for more than a year and I get to plug it to my desktop PC and use it as a thumb drive to access all my laptop files.
Great experience.

A true Arkham Knight Lego recreation, they even managed to replicate the shitty launch!

Yes. Officially announced. Multiple times. IIRC the last time was at GDC, in their presentation deck.

Does this affect immutable distros like Bazzite?
About two years now, fully Linux based home.
Rock solid, no problems, no maintenance whatsoever. My family doesn’t need me to use any device.

What about streaming apps: Netflix, Disney Plus, etc. would that be a way to stream 4k video on Linux? IIRC, Firefox or Chromium based browsers on Linux don’t allow that.
If so, that would be a great way for those wanting to stream using their Steam Machine, Frame and custom Linux based HTPCs.
I imagine their marketing agency going like:
The title “This robot is inspired by chickens” wasn’t good for SEO, so we changed to something related to Star Wars because of May the 4th. Now we are taking in clicks like crazy.
I totally want to play this.
