Yeah, it makes things simpler. You have the same as me, variation comes from dinners and weekends.
When working out it’s even better to always eat the same thing; making adjustments is so much simpler
Well, not 100% sure. I have quite a few ADHD traits though. But on the other hand I’m social and can read other peoples feelings quite well.

17·2 months agoI’m not autistic but I have eaten the same breakfast for the past 13 years.
Also, eating the same things, or very similiar, on a regular basis is really good if you want to gain/lose weight since all you need to do it add/remove things.
The less you know how LLMs work, the more impressed you are by them. The clever use of the term AI seems like the culprit to me since it will most likely evoke subconscious associations with the AI we have seen portraid in entertainment.
LLMs can be useful tools, when applied in restricted contexts and in the hands of specialists. This attempt to make it permeate every aspect of our lives is, in my honest opinion, insane

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How can we protect kids from the harms of social media without sacrificing everyone's privacy?
2·2 months agoWholeheartedly agree that the problem is the addictive and predatory nature of these platforms. I don’t see how that would change under the current perpetual growth economy we all live under

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How can we protect kids from the harms of social media without sacrificing everyone's privacy?
5·2 months agoYou’d be surprised with what parents let their kids do. My little anecdotal sample size contains mostly highly educated people but most of them don’t place any restrictions on screen time of their kids. They claim they talked to their kids and they have assured them they don’t look at anything they are not supposed to but that’s just not what happens in reality.
What really happens is that the kids with no restrictions will engage with all the predatory bullshit on these platforms, nonstop. I can see this with my own eyes and my kid brings their friends over.
Communication is key but unfortunately the business model of these platforms is based on addiction and children are not equiped to deal with it and parental controls are an essential component.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What advice or tips do you have which sound like nonsense but really work?
8·2 months agoHiccups: repeat in your head “I don’t have hiccups, hiccups don’t exist”. Repeat these phrases a few times and the hiccups should be gone.
It has worked everytime since I learned this a couple of years ago.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you think intergalactic travel will ever be possible?
2·3 months agoWe could reach any point in the visible universe in 2 years.
Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about?
The observable universe is a spherical region of the universe consisting of all matter that can be observed from Earth; The radius of this region is about 14.26 gigaparsecs (46.5 billion light-years or 4.40×1026 m).
Traveling at the speed of light from earth to the edge of the visible Universe, would take around 23 billion years.
