A raspberry pi hidden in a wall behind a power socket or in some always plugged in appliance like a fridge or tv at some place with wifi or a phone with a data plan connected to a portable solar charger set up on some roof or tree.

0·5 months agoSession is a decentralized alternative to signal. It doesn’t require a phone number and all traffic is routed through a tor like onion network. Relays are run by the community and relay operators are rewarded with some crypto token for their troubles. To prevent bad actors from attacking the network, in order to run a relay you have to stake some of those tokens first and if your node misbehaves thay will get slashed.




That’s why we need decentralized infrastructure like a meshnet or personal/community satellite network. Reticulum based networks are imo the best candidates for that, right now and in the foreseeable future.
