You’re also on your own for the depreciation of your car and cost of gas (damn, good luck with that), and have money set aside, up to 30%, just for taxes; not to mention keeping track of all expenses that can count as a loss to avoid paying so much in taxes. You’re likely to make less than minimum wage after all is said and done.

Idk anything about Safeway, but an annoying job with union benefits sounds a lot better than doing gig economy exclusively in an economy that’s going to absolutely fuck you in the ass pretty soon. Hell, you’re better off picking up extra hours, studying, or working on a real side gig with that spare time than really slaving away with DD.
