This has been so thoroughly debunked. Food doesn’t decompose if it dries out before it has the chance to, and thinly-sliced meat patties easily lose water to evaporation.
If you want to see a McDonalds burger decompose, keep one in a fridge for a few weeks, which will keep it moist.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What Fediverse instances would you recommend to others?
201·2 months agoA central principal of the fediverse is decentralization, and to that end, it’s healthier to spread the users across many instances than to have folks concentrated too heavily on any one.
It’s certainly healthier for the whole to have users spread across instances, but that’s a matter of emergence. What’s your pitch to convince an individual to choose a smaller instance, when it’s far more likely that their instance will cease to exist, taking their identity, history and hosted communities with it?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What Fediverse instances would you recommend to others?
12·2 months agoYou’re only missing content if your instance defederates from another and vice versa or if you block instances yourself.
You’re missing content from communities that no one on your instance follows yet.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How many daily drivable desktop operating system( familie)s are there?

Urban Dead was what came to mind for me too! That was going to be my rebuttal to the comments saying “The only reason to limit stuff is paywall.” Kids these days can’t imagine life in the Internet’s “make some shit just because it’s cool — if it gets too popular we’ll sell t-shirts” era.
