My friend lives in the Netherlands, and we don’t see each other very often. It’s for a big birthday celebration for myself so it’s a bit of a one off trip, I’ve always wanted to go to Berlin. I think my last trip away was possibly 10 years ago!

I’d love to use trains, but they’re so much slower and way more expensive. A return journey cuts into some very precious, limited time off.

I’m going to Berlin soon and I checked out the rail option first, it it’s just unfeasible.

It doesn’t mention anything about price gouging though, only that global fuel prices have gone up.

They’re wanting the government to cut the fuel duty to help with the costs. At least that’s what I’ve read of Irish based communities.

Did anyone here actually read what he said, or just reading the headline and jumping to their own conclusion that the UK is joining in on the attacks?

Well where’s the proof that he created it? I’ll happily stand corrected.

I just think that if we’re going to attack someone, it’s probably a good idea to use facts that are true and not made up (it’s likely that op just misremembered the details) otherwise it just puts doubt on any further valid points. I’ve no interest in defending the guy but I do think we should try and keep our facts straight when we criticise someone.

It was always the version of events that I’ve read.

I just did a quick search and found this, a video claiming that he was a mod, but the majority of comments indicate it’s not true and that it was debunked.

I’m not defending the guy but wasn’t it that a mod of that subreddit added him as a mod as a joke? I don’t think spez created it.

“unskilled” directly refers to the amount of training a job requires to do it. Anyone can wash dishes or do a newspaper round without any training. It’s not a skill to wash a plate properly.

Anyone can do an unskilled job and be efficient at it in a short space of time.

Newspaper round, washing dishes in a pub and putting seeds in soil in containers at a plant nursery.

Newspaper round, washing dishes in a pub kitchen and working in a plant nursery putting seeds into soil in their trays.

None of them required any training, anyone could have done those jobs.

I’ve had a few jobs when I was young that required no skill.
