That kinda looks like a lot of cars not on the road. Sure, they should have designated drop off and pick up locations so you don’t get this mess. However, I think these lime bikes are providing an alternative option to solo drivers.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What old person thing do you do now that you wouldn't have guessed you'd do when you were younger?
6·2 months agoPreach!!! I tell everyone about enshitification and planned obsolescence. My examples are cereal and appliances… Take a look at the size of the cereal now and watch it for a few months… It won’t be the same when you look again but the price will be. Or appliances, you find the heating element goes out quickly on your dryer and replacement is really difficult. Maybe your phone slowed down even though you’ve done nothing different to it than surf the web.
But when I talk about these I feel so old.

9·2 months agoSo there’s this weed picker tool I use that’s at the end of a long stick where the grab motion is done by stepping on the lever then rocking the stick back and forth. It’s too save my knees and back over the course of the lawn. My wife used to make fun of me calling it my grandpa stick but then she used it and apologized.
Haha is literally called a grandpas weeder

11·2 months agoI was just thinking this the other day. S&p 500 companies need a percentage worker representation on the board or the company pays more tax with more oversight. All those companies need to provide onboard training for unionization, meeting site and/or time to have meeting, and board reps are voted by workers without influence from corporate. I’d love to see board members pay released to employees with a percentage cap above median salary.

3·3 months agoThis is just a prep for when the GOP loses significantly in the mid terms and the pendulum swings back against them. There is no intent to not be in lock step with project 2025, it is just a coincidence. I hope there’s significant restructure of the supreme court soon as more than half of them are bought and paid for.

Steven Miller acts like the dude who would drug you, put you in a hole, lower a bucket to you with lotion, spray you with a water hose till you put said lotion on, then murder you to wear your skin. That or argue with you about magic the gathering rules and game meta. 100% the biggest tool in the shed

Reolink is what I use. Fairly similar in utility and options. Prices are ok but they go on sale pretty often. Poe, solar, and battery options for power.

1·5 months agoMaybe the argument for conceding is to let people feel the pain so they know the Dems were fighting for everyone. That is assuming they are and it’s not some corpo facade. At this point who knows.
They’re looking to spend like 116 billion this year on this garbage.
