In Soviet Russia, it is lovin’ you.

There’s nothing they can do about the extreme pain you live with for hours to a few days. You just suffer horribly.
They may not be able to save you, but there is something they can do about the extreme pain if they are willing.
Damnit, I didn’t need another reason to go straight to hell, and then you made me laugh at that.

Who fighting who?

Yeah, the week is looking better. Had a couple scrambled eggs this morning for breakfast and a baked potato for lunch.
If it all goes well, I can be back to eating the unhealthy crap I usually eat tomorrow 😁

Well. I got sick on Saturday. Stomach bug.
The best thing that’s happened to me this week is I was able to eat a few saltines last night.

I considered making a “Meet the Parents” reference, but I’m not happy with what I’ve come up with.
Well, what the hell.
“I have nuts, Greg. Can you milk me?”

Then in the US, where the one decent thing to come out of the revolution was licking out the monarchy, you’ve got a while crop of traitorous morons trying to establish one here.
I was always disgusted by the way my fellow citizens seemed to crave a monarchy. I see now that they were just waiting for a person vile enough to qualify.

Nothing says true religion like using police to force people to follow it.
“When a Religion is good, I conceive that it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its Professors are obliged to call for the help of the Civil Power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.”
-Benjamin Franklin

That’s true, but we’re not cats.
It’s can be difficult to change a cat’s food. You have to gradually introduce the new food mixed in with the old food, or the cat may just refuse to eat it.

I’m assuming that the reason he shared state secrets with Epstein is because Epstein had something on him.

The supremacy clause of the Constitution means that the federal government is not required to obey local zoning laws.

Well, it certainly wasn’t because he couldn’t implicate the billionaires.

Perhaps that’s the state secret he’s being punished for revealing: all the child rape among the rich and powerful.

There is no question that I’m definitely one of the luckiest wage slaves you’ll ever find.

Everything I’ve read about this says that the misconduct in question was sharing state secrets with Epstein.
The child raping doesn’t appear to be concerning them.

Well, I probably won’t. My employer has been around longer than the United States. Unless the bubble takes out civilization as we know it, we will probably ride it out.
They went through a pretty devastating financial loss about a quarter century ago. That was their existential crisis. It refocused management pretty forcefully on making sure they never have to have layoffs again. They may forget the lessons eventually, but I see no signs of it so far. They were still paying bonuses through the pandemic.
We also don’t have shareholders to appease which makes it easier.

I’m hoping the bubble bursts soon so I can get some cheap drives.
A guy died at work. I was his manager, so when he went missing for a few days, the police called me and asked me to check his office in the basement.
After I found his body, I was scheduled to be off a couple days. When I got back the office he had been in was emptied, stripped bare, new floor, new ceiling, new paint.
A few weeks after that, I saw him walking down a hall. I rushed to the corner he had turned down, but he wasn’t there.
He also had a distinctive odor. Poor hygiene combined with strong cologne. There were a bunch of times when I’d suddenly smell him standing nearby.
I’m not a big believer in ghosts. I figure it was just my mind working through it.
