So what percentage is that amount compared to how much they made from that data? If it’s less than 200% this is a joke amount. We desperately need to make it financially irresponsible to continue with this kind of behavior. We can just let them break even, or walk away with anything they made from the data.

This means nothing if they don’t stop pushing an algorithm that has been proven time and time again to cause damage to mental health in the first place.

I’m at a point where the one sided violence is fucking bewildering.

As an ethnicity ambiguous person (Native American), I’ve experienced a lifetime of first hand racism towards races I don’t even belong to. But some of the shit I’m seeing and reading about is fucking astonishing that there is not more reciprocated violence. Well beyond by threshold of where I’ve violently defended myself.

It is impressive the restraint people have been showing to not escalate the situation. It really highlights who the aggressors are.

Built my own CMS while trying to put together my art and design portfolio website. Applied for a graphic design job. In the first interview it came up in conversation that I designed and built the website from scratch. 2nd interview they were very interested to hear how I built the site. Got hired. Showed up on my first day and was introduced to the development team. I was very confused because I thought I was going to be doing design work. Became the lead web developer of their marketing department. Zero experience. Been a web developer for 15+ years now. I keep accidentally doing well at this and can’t get out now. I just wanted to draw.

1000% this. You so frequently see relationships fail because they never established a solid foundation of communication.

I also believe that you should be each other’s safe person. If you have good open communication where no judgment is passed, you’ll not only learn more about your partner, but provide a safe space you both talk about literally anything.

I feel like there is a couple a constitutional amendments specifically for this situation. One in particular.
