Explain how Tylenol works.

I’ve seen that book referenced and recommended. Do you know what the main topic would be, for any wondering minds?
If praying people get stuff done; they’re not on our side.

Just because there is an objective explanation to something doesn’t mean it is known. The human brain is widely a mystery even now, and to say anything different would be magical thinking.

That would be a fair argument if logic was a monolith, but it is not. My personal logic is not the same as yours, they are still valid and logical. Logic and mathematical certainty are quite different from each other.

Do you still experience that, or has it since faded?

We are also prone to overthinking, acting against our better interests, and a whole slew of things that are still interesting to explore. I don’t disagree, but there isn’t enough evidence to say that’s the only factor.

I don’t believe that there aren’t various scientific and chemical processes happening in our brain and things like this can be a product. However, there isn’t enough information about the processes of the human brain to say this is the only thing happening. The stories are interesting, and are anomalous occasions most humans seem to have in common more times than others.

I can also subscribe to the thought that acute concentration can help you put things together; but maybe there is something else as well. I’m glad you were at least able to piece it together.

Sure, and not everything that you intake as information is conscious. It just goes to show how little is really known about the human brain.

Crazy stuff, I’ve had things happen to me on a small scale like that. “I should move that” then something happens that wouldn’t have if I had moved it.

Yes, I’m aware it’s not rooted in mysticism but science. I still think they make good stories to tell, and most people have some experience with it.

I’m glad you’re here to talk about it! There were some parts that definitely had me rolling, like; why stand there thinking about whether it can hurt you or not? It’s a snake! I avoid them all. Also every time I see “lizard brain” it makes me giggle.

One of the things people constantly disagree with me about is children. Specifically how hard it really is to raise one, and that everyone isn’t meant to have them.
Many people don’t understand that where children begin, you end. There isn’t going to be time for things you used to do on your own time, at your own leisure. There are no natural born parents, people that can function on little sleep and overwhelming circumstances. You give up peace, money, autonomy and you don’t stop parenting until you’re gone. There are a large number of people who feel like one day, they’ll become a parent and that will be their identity. Some people start their journey in parenthood wholeheartedly believing their child is an extension of themselves; not a developing, unique person that may or may not be completely different- like no one else in the family.
Having children is the most important job that you will ever have. You don’t get to quit when you realize that maybe you aren’t cut out for it. That’s why it’s important to know yourself, and work on your trauma and shortcomings before they bleed into your children. If you aren’t prepared to make sure they have the absolute best you can provide them in all aspects of life; why are you having them? If you aren’t ready to let your priorities fall to the wayside while you guide a tiny human into themselves, you aren’t prepared.
Literally spending Christmas there because of parter’s family in a few weeks. It’s not the worst place I have been to, but it is expensive, the people shout at each other mostly in heavy accents, and there is nothing to do. The food?
Somehow they messed up seafood.

What’s your problem? I wasn’t put on this earth to talk with or educate you. I SAID I no longer have any interest in talking to you; you can’t understand that but you got shining grades?
Why don’t you go demand things from some other person; because I guarantee you don’t want to take this further.

When you were in school they gave you your tests face down, didn’t they?
Well you are Okarin- this guy has been to the future. I’ll take your word any day.
