played 2 first as well, due to it just being way funnier than 1 imo

why stop at Linux? any open source software all the way!

In the US, latest FuriOS update did increase how often my phone locks up from an incoming call, but I hope it gets fixed soon (and am working on trying to fix it myself in the free time). Sticking to libadwaita apps mostly gets around the scaling weirdness and makes most apps feel mostly natural on a phone. I do still suggest some moderate Linux skills before anyone decides to buy it, because if something breaks, you sometimes have to know how to fix it on the fly
I’ll make a detailed review one day when I have enough freetime
misread ur comment and worded mine badly, sorry
I really need more sleep

all of which is entirely possible on a phone (Linux containers and WINE), which makes the term “sideloading” even dumber
smart phone literally means phone with computer or computer-like abilities, contrary to popular belief, smartphones existed before the iPhone and in fact didn’t have to be a locked down slab of glass

every Linux distribution build script will now add alias unaliveall="killall" to the /etc/profile

PS/2 keyboard from Goodwill before I cleaned it (no after pic because I lost the F9 key)

I also discovered Linux when I was around 8-9, Ubuntu 10.10 was my first distro (was already 5 years out of date by then but it’s all I had), partially daily drove 14.04 2-3 years later, then went full daily some time in 2021. here I am today using a linux phone, all because “hey dad how do I make windows look like Mac”
I was obsessed with computers and machines ever since I discovered them for the first time

it’s reasoning log is so fucking funny

godaddy fucked it up. luckily the original is still on protoweb

agreed, but so far calls and text on my flx1s have been for some reason more stable than my past android phones? also I’m lucky to be using a bank who’s app works on custom roms (including the furiphone’s andromeda layer)
feels great having the same apps on my phone as on my Linux desktop

POP! POP ALREADY!!! PLEASE!!!

that’s what I’m doing rn, sorry if it sounded like I was arguing

if it doesn’t get scalped to shit… we see what’s happening with RAM right now…

I’m aware, but this post is saying that it won’t be possible for much longer
Well said, my thoughts exactly
