I can get behind this. Next up: New Yawhk and Thexhus

Thank you for this. I have seen a few *arr combination projects I wanted to look into; so I may have had come across this one.
It’s unfortunate that the “developer” chose to nope out, instead of fixing it or at least seeking help from the community. This is one of the good aspects of OSS - that we can and should audit ourselves. But if it was all vibe coded, maybe they didn’t know that an audit is good and should be welcomed; instead of rejected and shutdown.

Ill preface by saying I didnt read the article. But I also think that the state of gaming today is much worse than it was in the early 2000s for millennials.
When I was growing up, games had to come out complete so they were generally much more polished. However, when the Xbox360 came out, console makers gave the ability to devs to release patched versions via updates. Initially it was a great idea - devs could fix bugs they might have missed while testing. But then this quickly spiralled into studios forcing devs to release 1/2 baked games in a horribly broken state.
I also think how much you generally have to pay for games has gone way up with respect to the cost of living. Video gaming is much more of a luxury now, than a simple past time. Plus there are so many F2P mobile games out there, that there is even less of an incentive to get into a console / PC gaming.

{yet another franchise} remake

Your article points out the main reason why I haven’t gotten into sports; even though I’d like to follow a bit of hockey, F1, and UK soccer. It’s complicated and expensive as fuck. $50/month for a subscription, and it doesn’t even cover all of the games for the same team? I’m interested in putting something on, once in a while; but it’s not worth $50 to maybe use it once a month or two
Thank you though for putting together these highly detailed instructions that are only for educational purposes!

Given that Russia is a dictatorship, Putin can do whatever he wants; and because Putin was the ex head of the KGB, he has the best knowledge on how to run large operations in complete secrecy.
Compared to America, the US has had better self regulation, and is also pretty bad at keeping secrets.
What’s stopping America? Self regulation (in the past), and that someone would have blown the whistle if something was going on; so we probably would have heard about it by now.
Thats why I didn’t ask why either of them would follow this deal; but specifically why not Russia

Nothing to see here, folks! Fake news! Stop asking questions - no drugs here! Fuck it, I’m gonna go buy a yacht!

What’s stopping Russia from having just ignored the deal anyway?
Why are we over cropping images now?
What is the first word of “…at American Recovery Initiative”? And why is “Office” in “Oval Office” removed?

It sounds very weird at the surface level, but it kind of makes sense when you consider that all Cheeto-in-chief wants is power and control. How do you control your citizens? Send in your police force. Want to control another country? Send in your military.

I think it depends on the individual. Me in high school? Cool. Me in 2026? Cringe
I took a computer programming course in high school and really liked coding. I was going to do a comp sci degree, but my dad forced me to do software engineering. In my 2nd last year of uni, I did an internship at a web dev company. They liked me so they asked me to work part time during the year; then after I graduated, I just went from part time to full time. Have been in web dev ever since.
My advice: pick a career that pays well that you’ll enjoy; then look into what you need to get there. Don’t go to post-secondary simply because you like the subject.
I know someone who really liked history, but didn’t think about life after school. Unfortunately, they’re now stuck at home with their parents, working a minimum wage job, paying off insane amounts of student debt. I really wish it worked out better for them, but there’s not many decent paying jobs in that field.

Fellow homebox user here. As an aside: I’ve got a storage room with a bunch of shelves and bins. For each bin, I’ve suck labels on them (using a label maker or sharpie + painters tape), and an NFC tag. Each box in Homebox has its own location, and each NFC tag is a direct link to its instance in Homebox.
It’s much easier to categorize larger quantities of things that aren’t as valuable as vintage media. Ie. hygiene products, off-season clothing, etc…

Bookmarked this to try this setup next weekend!

This is equivalent to asking the road construction workers and engineers to be held accountable for those that break the speed limit
Isn’t “paper tiger” a phrase in Chinese? I don’t watch a lot of trump, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard him use that phrase…
