Mysterious Island is soo good, 10 yo me loved it so much!

They have very solid riffs, but guitar solos were never Kerry King’s strong point.

“Metal” is a very wide genre. There’s not a lot in common between e.g. Nightwish and Full of Hell. I personally wouldn’t put Bon Jovi and Deff Leppard in there, they’re more what is called “hard FM”, but like every genre the borders are fluid.

The book is pretty campy already, I can easily imagine the movie being awful!

I loved the John dies at the end series, I didn’t know they were adapted into a movie!
