The Little Ones dlc is also devistating great.

DoD Source and TF2 with a good community server was the best of times :(

Squad is by far the most with about 3.5k hours. I dont really like playing other games online nowadays but Squad really hits the sweet spot of 80% social 20% gameplay.
The rest of the list is probably Megadrive, N64 and Dreamcast stuff :D

Fission Mailed

Thunderbolt (1995) is a fun racing movie if you haven’t seen it before.
Also I love the Tokyo levels in Metropolis Street Racer and the Project Gotham Racing series so recommended those too.
As for Forza I don’t particularly care for the series anymore so won’t bother with the new one.

I feel like mods are coming back around to the general public again but I don’t think it’ll go as far as to take over a whole platform. Not even close to that happening.
Also a lot of us didn’t stop with mods and community servers etc but with the rise of PC gaming over the past 10 years of whatever comes a whole group of people who don’t even know how to troubleshoot the basics let alone make games…

Too many to name as the 80s through to early 2000s was full of them. Star Wars on the original Gameboy comes to mind though.

It look much more interesting than I remember from the announcement trailers and hopefully it has a good narrative.

I tried out RetroAchievements last week while playing Pikmin and even though technically it works great it’s just not for me.

Achievements were an interesting idea but ultimately they are meaningless. Especially now that they are everywhere… Like big whoop I got an achievement on the Google Games app, GOG Galaxy and Steam…
As for console commands it would be nice but most gamers don’t know that they are doing and would probably ruin it for themselves somehow. Breaking saves files or getting stuck in a crash loop.

Halo comes to mind straight away. The way the enemies react, dodging out the way or charging towards you was something special. Also the music score and freedom it gives you in the semi-open levels to play differently.

I agree that “authentic” isn’t really the word for this. They seem fixated on the term when it’s really just non-traditional media/marketing but even that is nothing new nowadays.

If you have any old hardware/laptop laying around then use that until you nail down what you actually want to do and need.

I still have Skate 3 installed on my Xbox for those times when I just want to chill for an hour. It makes me a little sad when I see what its become nowadays…
It’s an OpenGL port of Re-Volt and a lot of fun!

Bridge of Spirits is great so looking forward to this. I wasn’t expecting a sequel but it’s a shame it’s probably a year away :/

Masters of Albion comes out this year, and quite soon, on 22nd April, and seeks to give us a dose of Dungeon Keeper, Black & White and Fable all in one.
Honestly it sounds and looks great but no way am I buying an early access Molyneux game!
If I was starting new today I’d go for Jellyfin but my family is all set up for Plex now and I’m not going through that painful process again :D
