That’s my strategy as well. Whenever Witcher 3 is on sale i think to myself “Can’t wait for Cyberpunk to get that low”. Same thing for Elden Ring +DLC, except there i would be willing to pay about 30-40 bucks.
It’s not for me either, but i guess not being strung along by the main story line and instead being able to just go anywhere and do whatever is appealing to people who just want to immerse themselves in the games world.
IMO Alan Wake 2 could have performed much better if it wasn’t an Epic exclusive, but from what I heard, because of that deal, Remedy got their development cost back before the game officially broke even.
Don’t know what to think of Firebreak, because it’s a genre i don’t like (coop) and that doesn’t go well with Remedys biggest strength, the storytelling. Until recently i didn’t even know the game existed.
