This is what I ended up doing, and it works great. I knew about aliases, but didn’t really use them at all - I didn’t know about bash functions though.
So now I have a few functions in .bashrc for short things and am just aliasing shell scripts for easy access to more complex tbings I don’t want cluttering the file
Oooh ty that makes a lot of sense. I was unaware of that functionality.
This should be the next step for me. When you do aliased commands, can they take arguments? Like to download a playlist with yt-dlp, could i do download-playlist [URL]?
A guy who incels like to watch because he is one. Hikikomori/LDR type who stays in his room filled with trash and roaches and streams. Incels and other rightwingers listen to his political opinions because… yeah idk.

21·14 days agoIt just like… doesn’t really matter? Especially if you’re browsing all - then you just see stuff from everywhere federated. That’s basically how I use lemmy. I don’t only look at stuff from one instance

53·14 days ago.ml doesn’t federate with nsfw instances, so All is clean. There’s probably other instances with a similar policy

6·19 days agoThat’s why most people I know got the switch. They got it in spite of bad performance to play older 3rd party games on a portable, social format. Can play with friends, on the bus, on the couch. Don’t really need better specs to do that. Even hardcore gamers may own a switch to do that - the appeal and accessibility is very broad.
The nintendo games are largely just a bonus, imo. They’re very expensive and I personally wouldn’t seek them out if I didn’t also own a switch. If I had kids or was a kid that’d be a different story, probably. The modern legend of zelda games, mario kart, and super smash were great though.
A bunch of the other nintendo titles were fun, but many of them feel weirdly like mobile games with way more content or something to me - hard to explain, but they don’t feel like $60 or $70 games (to me). Something to do with the repetitive gameplay loops, visual style, and design built around levels rather than exploration/open world. Animal crossing 100% feels like less of a game than the gamecube version did - more repetitive, basically the same appearance, feels less complex.

20·19 days agoThe value proposition just isn’t there. Much more expensive for better performance and… pokemon pokopia? There aren’t any games really taking advantage of that increased performance that I am aware of. My switch 1 still works. I’d like better performance, but not for $500

News@lemmy.world•No evidence behind RFK Jr’s claim keto diet can cure schizophrenia, experts say
101·2 months agoEven beyond like actual facts and evidence proving this wrong, I have one fundamental question for all these nutcases making wild claims about diet: why the fuck would X diet do Y thing?
Like what about eating more meat and fat & being in ketosis could possibly have any effect on schizophrenia, of all things.
It doesn’t even make sense on any basic level. Could there theoretically be some counterintuitive thing that would cause an effect? Maybe, sure. But come on - these wacky claims don’t even pass the sniff test.

You receive: “okay”
I’ve literally been doing this for lunches. Bake a loaf of bread, have a rotisserie chicken on hand for the week, a block of cheese. Boom. Lunch.
And when I have some more time or am tired of that, make some porridge with oats and chicken. Maybe a little broth, some onions, seasonings.
Dont underestimate peasant mode. Lunch for the whole week for like $12
