Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) threatened to target American tech companies on Tuesday, claiming they are involved in strikes against Iran.

In a statement published by Tasnim News Agency, one of the Islamic Republic’s state media agencies, the IRGC claimed the companies were “involved in terrorist operations” against Iran. The statement listed 18 companies including Tesla, Palantir, and Microsoft.

Whoa! There are some innocent and hard working people at those work sites. Some people even live nearby and their lives shouldn’t be in danger.

There’s nice long lists of CEOs, board executives and lobbying firms out there… And if their lives were somehow impacted by this needless war then that would have a much quicker response to this war.

They don’t even need to hurt any of them but just target their megayachts that are very easily tracked and this war would end in a heartbeat.

It’s too bad you don’t get to choose how the people you attack retaliate. We probably should not have attacked them in the first place

Dude don’t be daft. It’s an ambiguous we meaning that it refers to the abstracted concept of a group of individuals.

It’d be like saying “Shame we can’t get good quality woodworking anymore” and then getting annoyed because you live next to the Amish and can get good quality wood working done. Mayhaps you should go read an English arts book or something.

To be clear: I hope no innocent people die.

but also: Innocent people in Iran have certainly died by our choice not to update target info (killing school children with a direct hit we should have known better) and by our inaccurate weapons (we’re killing lots of civilians).

So it’s hard to argue if Iran strikes these tech companies, especially if they time it to, say, the middle of the night when there would be just a few people there.

Basically, I can’t condone or support innocent people dying, but it’s hard to argue that it would be a war crime for them if it’s not a war crime when we hit civilians.

How about america shouldn’t have started it by bombing children in a school? How about they shouldn’t have then carried it on by once again bombing children in a school and sports hall?

I think Iran saying they’ll bomb data centres is pretty tame when compared to having schools and more schools (plus sports halls where children are) being bombed, especially when it’s all just to distract the world from a certain orange cunts decades of raping other children!! FUCK.

They are targetting the infrastructure specifically to disable it. Killing the owner does not accomplish this, they will just be replaced. Attacking the heads of a hydra is foolish at best. I encourage people working for the American war machine to quit and leave before their contribution to violence affects them.

Attacking the body of the hydra is effective, but only with enough firepower, as it has damage resistance 10 [Bludgeoning/Piercing/Slashing] and is usually immune to Acid.
