I generally like beyond products (they’re pretty much the only soy-free commercial vegan protein option), but that just looks…bad.
Our city had taste tested them for a while. Not very good

Everything meat now days is all hotdog meat.
I bought some brawts the other day. I’ve bought that brand many times before.
But now they have the texture of Vienna sausages. Pure mush.
So nasty I couldn’t eat.
My cat wouldnt eat it either.
And I put outside for the feral animals and 2 racoons refused to eat it. Finally a possum stopped and ate a few chunks (I put it on my porch and can see from my couch if they stop by).
I honestly was surprised that the racoons passed. They will usually eat any leftovers I put out.
But that should tell us something.
It’s not human food. Not even close. Only a scavenger animal ate it.
(Also I find it’s best to just give the local animals the food cause otherwise they just rip open my trash to get to it. )
Look man…if you’re going to feed and attract the local wildlife ecosystem to your house, the least you can do is set up a series of webcams all over your property.
If Disney is going to stop making new material, and only make live action remakes, then you may as well record live action animals, and do voiceovers!
Disney never made a movie about the outcasts of the animal neighborhood! You can make a movie about possums, and raccoons fueding for territory, and in the end they find some respect for each other as advasaries.
C’mon. Do it! I’d watch that.
Release the animal neighborhood movie!
What did you expect? It says “beyond fried” right there, as in “so far past fried that it’s condensed into rubber”. (I’m sorry, Beyond; I love you, and you’re perfect.)
What I think a lot of beyond meat lacks is strands surrounded by salt, iron, and fatty acids for optimal taste and texture. Their ground sausage is bomb, because its all the good stuff blended up, but the chicken nuggs? Not so much.
