Yeah I could see that. But I still think the description serves it’s purpose for understanding the image. It’s nice to know someone is looking at the alt texts.

1·13 days agoAh, I understand now. That is AFAIK correct, however complienace with the New York bill will be impossible:
New York’s proposed Senate Bill S8102A requires adults to prove they’re adults to use a computer, exercise bike, smart watch, or car if the device is internet enabled with app ecosystems. The bill explicitly forbids self-reporting and leaves the allowed methods to regulations written by the Attorney General.

0·13 days agoAt least one of the laws made the OS responsible if the determined age is not correct, meaning if you don’t verify the age you may still be commiting a crime, even if it is not required

4·5 months agoNo idea about that, not a lawyer. However I think a big part is that ChatGPT would just spit out full lyrics. If you were to recreate the textbook from memory and post them online, you’d probably be in trouble too

5·5 months agoGEMA stands for “Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte” which means “Society for Musical Performing and Mechanical Reproduction Rights” in English. So if it’s not music they won’t care




That’s actually a known bug in Fennec, nothing to do with Google
